Dursley Rifle and Pistol Club

Dursley Rifle and Pistol Club has a long and proud history. For over 80 years the club has provided facilities for the instruction and improvement of target shooting for its members and friends in Dursley as well as attracting members from far and wide.

Over the last two years we have restructured the club from a small membership, small-bore club largely for middle aged men to a much more inclusive club with a much wider age range and access to most calibres and shooting disciplines. We have upgraded our Home Office Approval and are now approved for all classes of firearm up to a muzzle energy of 10,000 foot pounds.

We have recently started a miniature cannon section and we believe that we are the first club in the UK to use cannon for target shooting.

We are always interested to receive enquiries from people in Gloucestershire, South Wales and surrounding areas who have never tried shooting and who feel it may be for them. We pride ourselves on extending a warm welcome to our visitors and on providing them with a high standard of tuition, in shooting but most importantly in safety.
